BCHS is the area’s acute care facility, providing all of Brantford and Brant County's specialty programs and services for our 120,000+ residents. The Brantford General Hospital Emergency Department is a high-volume community Emergency Department with over 53,000 visits per year. The Willett Urgent Care Centre is an acute care facility staffed by doctors and nurses to provide rapid and expert care for non-emergent conditions. We see approximately 20,000 patients each year. The Willett Urgent Care Centre is equipped to provide same-day xray, bloodwork and other diagnostic services are provided through the Brantford General Hospital.
We are currently recruiting for Locum Tenens Urgent Care Physicians to join our Willet Urgent Care Centre team. This position represents an opportunity to join a group of dedicated healthcare professionals in a progressive organization. Interested physicians must have independent practice license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent (e.g. American Board).
As a McMaster University Mac-CARE teaching site for the Grand Erie Six Nations, the successful candidate would be expected to participate in teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical learners thus excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to an interprofessional care model are also essential.
